Can I use my four channels (850/900/1800/1900) mobile phone network to Telecom New Zealand?

I am planning to move New Zealand and would like to buy a prepaid SIM card Telecom. Since I know I'll have to buy a mobile phone too, since Telecom's network special.

Telecom New Zealand mobile phones have no SIM cards. You have to use your existing phone to Vodafone's network, which normally accept phones operate at 900Mhz. They have prepaid SIM cards and a spending package of NZ $ 35 including the opening credits of $ 5. Before coming here, make sure your phone not locked into existing network.
